b Overview /b p As Principal EC I Engineer you will lead electrical, control and instrumentation design for the NTSP programme at HMNB Clyde. You will shape the EC I solutions for new building infrastructure, ensuring safety, standards alignment and timely delivery within a defence context. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to manage risks and drive technical decisions across HV/LV systems, building services and communications. This role offers impact through leading design execution on a high‑profile project with real-world operational scale. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead EC I design for new building infrastructure at HMNB Clyde /li li Design and deliver HV and LV electrical systems /li li Support integration of SCADA, networks, and telecommunications /li li Electrical building services design (lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection) /li li Produce technical scopes, work estimates, system specifications and documentation /li li Ensure designs meet client requirements, standards and project expectations /li li Manage engineering risks, issues and design assumptions /li li Oversee design change control and lifecycle /li li Support project planning and ensure timely delivery /li li Lead and mentor junior engineers and coordinate day‑to‑day activities /li li Provide technical leadership across EC I and collaborate with stakeholders /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Significant experience in EC I engineering /li li Strong background in HV/LV electrical design /li li Experience in building services electrical design /li li Knowledge of lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection /li li Experience with SCADA, telecommunications and networks /li li Ability to produce scopes, specifications and documentation /li li Experience managing risks, assumptions and changes /li li Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement /li li Experience in regulated or safety-critical environments /li /ul ul li leadership /li li stakeholder engagement /li li communication /li li EC I engineering /li li HV/LV design /li li SCADA and telecommunications /li /ul
