Power BI / Power Apps Developer

Rate: £650 (INSIDE IR35)
About the Role
Our clients are seeking an experienced Power BI / Power Apps Developer to support the delivery of a business intelligence and data capture solution. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in transforming operational data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards and user-friendly applications.
Working closely with business stakeholders, you will enhance an existing proof-of-concept solution, develop production-ready reporting capabilities, and create intuitive Power Apps forms to support data collection and management across the business.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps.
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.
- Experience building interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualisations.
- Strong knowledge of Power Query (M).
- Experience integrating and transforming data from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with APIs and working with structured data formats such as CSV and JSON.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel as part of data management and reporting solutions.
- Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, enhance, and optimise an existing Power BI proof-of-concept dashboard.
- Design and develop robust, production-ready Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Create and maintain Power Apps forms and data capture solutions.
- Integrate data from Excel-based sources and Microsoft 365 data repositories.
- Improve data quality, governance, and reporting performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Produce technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Provide training and support to end users and internal team members.
- Explain solution architecture and development approaches to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge of data governance and reporting best practices.
- Experience delivering proof-of-value or proof-of-concept solutions.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 data services and integrations.
