An established and growing organisation is seeking an experienced People Business Partner to join its HR team. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting managers and employees across multiple business areas, with a strong focus on employee relations, people development and operational HR support. Working closely with leadership teams, the successful candidate will help deliver people-focused initiatives that support engagement, performance and organisational growth. The role would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing stakeholders and driving positive change within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead on ER matters and provide guidance and support to managers on a broad range of people matters, including performance management, employee wellbeing, engagement and day-to-day employee relations issues.
  • Coach managers to build confidence and capability in handling people matters fairly and consistently.
  • Support the implementation of HR initiatives and wider people strategy activity across designated business areas.
  • Assist with talent management and succession planning activities, ensuring actions and development plans are effectively followed through.
  • Contribute to leadership and management development initiatives through coaching, training support and stakeholder engagement.
  • Promote wellbeing, inclusion and employee engagement initiatives across teams and departments.
  • Support organisational change activity, including restructures, consultation processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and remain compliant with current employment legislation and best practice.
  • Use HR data and reporting insights to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Assist with reward-related activity such as salary reviews and benchmarking exercises.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or HR Generalist position.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and confidently advise managers at different levels with effective communication.
  • Experience supporting people initiatives such as engagement, development or organisational change.
  • Comfortable working with HR systems, reporting tools and people data.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
