Morson are recruiting Mechanical Support Technicians to support mechanical maintenance activities on submarines at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth. This is a great opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and an interest in engineering, working within a regulated, safety-critical marine environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support mechanical assembly, maintenance and repair of submarine systems and components
  • Carry out inspections, fault finding and basic testing of mechanical systems
  • Work in line with engineering standards, procedures and safety requirements
  • Support maintenance activities within a high-risk, regulated environment

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in mechanical fitting, maintenance or production support
  • Experience within marine, industrial, manufacturing or similar environments
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Strong understanding of health & safety in high-risk environments
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a mechanical or related discipline

  • Pay rate dependent on experience
