Mechanical Fitter - Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth
We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our client at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth.
The role
- LP air pipework
- Installation and maintenance of various onboard pipework systems
- Installation of anchor brackets and associated equipment
- General mechanical fitting duties as required
What we’re looking for:
- Level 3 Mechanical Engineering/Fitting qualification or equivalent
- Previous marine or shipbuilding experience preferred
- Good experience working with pipework systems
- Ability to work safely and effectively onboard
- Must be able to obtain full security clearance for Devonport Dockyard
Pay
£19.80 per hour PAYE, time and a half for all hours worked over 37 hours per week.
37 std hours per week - 07:30 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 12:30 on a Friday.
Full SC clearance is a requirement for this role, able to start with BS clearance initially whilst SC clearance is underway.
