About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a proactive and reliable Picker Packer to join a busy warehouse and stores team. Working within a team of 4–5 people, you will play a key role in supporting Goods In, Stores and Dispatch operations, ensuring materials and stock are received, stored, controlled and distributed accurately to support business and production requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse or stores experience who enjoy a hands‑on role and can demonstrate strong initiative, attention to detail and a positive approach to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive deliveries from suppliers and other sources, verifying goods against delivery documentation and accurately booking items into the system.
- Decant goods where required and ensure materials are handled safely and correctly.
- Store received goods in designated locations and update inventory records accordingly.
- Pick and issue materials for production, sales orders, customer orders, shortages and material requisitions in line with operational requirements.
- Complete all stock‑related system transactions accurately using ERP/MRP systems.
- Conduct daily cycle counts and assist with inventory control activities.
- Submit stock adjustment requests for finance approval where necessary.
- Pick, collate, pack and prepare goods for dispatch in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
- Support Goods In, Stores and Dispatch functions as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Previous experience working within a warehouse, stores or inventory environment.
- Experience conducting stock counts and inventory control activities.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience using ERP, MRP, PMRP or other stock control systems.
- Ability to interpret data and maintain accurate records.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties, including heavy lifting.
- Comfortable working at height using steps or ladders when required.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Proactive approach with strong problem‑solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
