The Opportunity
Morson Edge are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to support supplier industrialisation activities across a complex manufacturing and engineering environment. Working within a supplier support function, you will play a key role in driving manufacturing excellence, improving supplier capability, and ensuring robust industrial performance across a diverse supply chain.
This is an excellent opportunity for a manufacturing professional with strong supplier-facing experience and a passion for driving continuous improvement within highly regulated production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide manufacturing engineering support to suppliers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead industrialisation and supplier capability development activities.
- Support transfer of work projects and supplier readiness initiatives.
- Chair and facilitate supplier industrial reviews and kick-off meetings.
- Investigate manufacturing and quality issues, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and operational performance enhancements.
- Assess engineering designs for manufacturability and production readiness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and industrial challenges.
- Act as a manufacturing engineering focal point for supplier-related activities.
Essential Experience
- Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering within a production environment.
- Experience working directly with external suppliers and managing technical or manufacturing issues.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, production methods, tolerancing, and dimensional control.
- Experience supporting industrial improvements, product modifications, or manufacturing change activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead technical reviews and drive actions to completion.
Desirable Experience
- Aerospace, automotive, defence, or other highly regulated manufacturing sector experience.
- Supplier development or supply chain manufacturing support experience.
- Knowledge of design-for-manufacture principles.
- Experience leading industrialisation projects and new product introductions.

Working Pattern
- Initial onboarding period fully onsite.
