Contract: 6-Month Contract

Rate: £24.47 per hour Umbrella / £18.30 per hour PAYE

Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain UK SC Clearance

The Opportunity

Morson Edge is recruiting for a Material Inventory Controller to support critical military aviation operations at RAF Brize Norton. Working within a highly regulated aviation logistics environment, you will play a key role in ensuring aircraft maintenance programmes are supported through the effective handling, control, and movement of aircraft materials and components. Supporting a fleet that operates 24/7, 365 days a year, this is an excellent opportunity to join a team responsible for maintaining aircraft availability for vital UK defence operations. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced aerospace environment where attention to detail, teamwork, and operational excellence are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process material orders and movements in the correct priority sequence
  • Ensure all materials are unloaded, handled, and stored in accordance with logistics and airworthiness requirements
  • Carry out picking, packing, and material handling activities accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through SAP and associated warehouse management systems
  • Complete all warehouse transactions and associated documentation correctly
  • Store materials in designated locations following warehouse procedures
  • Support inbound and outbound warehouse operations
  • Assist with receiving activities and stock control tasks
  • Conduct stock checks and inventory audits as required
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment
  • Identify and report process issues or system discrepancies promptly
  • Support continuous improvement activities across the warehouse function

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within a Material Support, Warehouse, Logistics, or Supply Chain environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience using warehouse management systems and inventory control software
  • Good working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel, and other logistics systems
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and material handling processes
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in English

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations
  • Understanding of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) requirements
  • Current Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck Forklift Licence
  • Experience within an aerospace, defence, or aviation logistics environment
