We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to join a busy, multi-disciplinary team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio, including alterations, repair and refurbishment of existing buildings, alongside new-build developments in the residential, commercial, education and public sectors. This role offers particular exposure to conservation and heritage projects, as well as involvement in larger-scale frameworks and multi-disciplinary delivery programmes, providing a varied and design-led workload.
About the Role:
As a Senior Architect, you will play a key role in both design leadership and project delivery, taking schemes from concept through to completion. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external consultants, ensuring high-quality design outcomes and technical excellence across all stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects through all RIBA stages, from concept to completion
- Develop creative, practical, and compliant design solutions
- Produce and review detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and stakeholders
- Contribute to BIM workflows and design coordination using Revit
- Oversee planning applications and building regulations compliance
- Provide guidance on conservation, refurbishment, and new-build projects
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Manage client relationships and contribute to project meetings
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- ARB registration and RIBA Chartered status
- Proven experience in UK architectural practice across multiple sectors
- Strong design and technical delivery skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit (BIM experience essential)
- Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning processes
- Experience in conservation or heritage projects (highly desirable)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
