We are currently recruiting for two Polishers to join a leading aerospace manufacturing environment in Luton. This role would suit candidates with experience in polishing, finishing, deburring, inspection, surface preparation, composites, precision engineering, or manufacturing.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected engineering business producing safety-critical components where quality and attention to detail are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out polishing and finishing activities on precision-engineered components
- Visually inspect surfaces and identify minor defects under inspection lighting
- Ensure components meet required quality and cosmetic standards
- Perform repetitive finishing and polishing tasks to a high standard
- Safely handle large and delicate components
- Use abrasives, hand tools and finishing equipment
- Follow manufacturing instructions and quality procedures
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment
Candidate Requirements
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:

- Fettling

- Composite Trimming
- Grinding
- Linishing
- Paint Preparation
- Quality Inspection
- Aerospace Manufacturing
- Automotive Manufacturing
- Precision Engineering
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience identifying surface defects and quality issues
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Confidence carrying out repetitive precision work
- Experience handling delicate or high-value components
- Willingness to work with chemicals and finishing materials
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 37 hours per week
- Day shift initially
- Potential to move onto a Double Day Shift pattern
