About the role
We're partnering with a well-established organisation to find an experienced Finance Change Lead for an 8-month engagement. You'll lead the people side of a significant finance and ERP change programme centred on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. You'll make sure new systems and processes are understood, adopted and embedded across the finance function and its wider stakeholders.
This is a hands-on role. The client is looking for someone who rolls up their sleeves and delivers the work directly, rather than a manager who oversees and delegates.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the change management approach for a finance transformation and ERP programme, from impact assessment through to adoption and sustainment.
- Apply the ADKAR model to build awareness, desire, knowledge, ability and reinforcement across impacted teams.
- Carry out change impact assessments on core finance processes such as P2P, O2C, R2R, budgeting and reporting, and translate them into practical change plans.
- Engage and manage stakeholders at all levels, from finance teams to senior leadership, and build strong relationships and sponsorship.
- Design and deliver communications, training and engagement activities that support the D365 F&O rollout.
- Work closely with the programme team, finance SMEs and technical colleagues so that process and system changes land well with end users.
- Identify and manage resistance, risks and readiness issues, and report progress to programme leadership.
- Personally produce change deliverables, including stakeholder maps, comms plans, readiness assessments and training materials.
Essential skills and experience
- Proven experience as a Change Lead or Change Manager within finance transformation programmes.
- A strong understanding of core financial processes and how finance functions operate.
- Hands-on exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365, specifically the Finance & Operations modules.
- Broader experience of finance and ERP system implementations.
- Practical use of the ADKAR change framework.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust quickly.
- Strong change leadership, able to drive adoption and bring people along on the journey.
- A delivery-focused, hands-on style and comfort with getting directly involved to get things done.
Desirable
- Experience working in or with a not-for-profit organisation.
