As the UK continues its journey towards Net Zero, Sizewell C will provide secure, low-carbon electricity to around 6 million homes for at least 60 years. Following the success of Hinkley Point C, this nationally significant nuclear new build project is now under construction and presents exceptional opportunities for experienced professionals looking to make a lasting impact.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Quality professional to lead the development and implementation of Counterfeit, Fraudulent and Suspect Item (CFSI) arrangements across a complex, international supply chain, helping to safeguard quality, safety and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Supplier Quality, you'll lead the delivery of the Sizewell C CFSI strategy while managing a team of Quality Engineers within the Supplier Quality function. Working across multiple project programmes, you'll ensure robust quality management arrangements are embedded throughout the organisation and supply chain, helping to identify, prevent, detect and resolve CFSI risks before they impact delivery.

This is a highly collaborative leadership role requiring close engagement with project teams, suppliers, regulators and industry peers, making it ideal for someone who thrives in complex, safety-critical environments and enjoys influencing quality performance across major infrastructure programmes.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the CFSI Strategy
  • Drive the implementation and continual development of the Sizewell C Counterfeit, Fraudulent and Suspect Item (CFSI) strategy.
  • Develop and maintain robust quality management arrangements aligned with nuclear industry best practice.
  • Promote awareness of CFSI risks and mitigation strategies across the project through training, coaching and engagement activities.
  • Ensure effective deployment of CFSI processes across the Sizewell C organisation and wider supply chain.
• Prevention, Detection & Resolution
  • Prevention
    • Ensure clear CFSI requirements are embedded within project quality arrangements.
    • Verify suppliers have effective Quality Management Systems (QMS) in place to manage CFSI risks throughout their own supply chains.
    • Support supplier capability development through assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Detection
    • Oversee CFSI surveillance activities throughout manufacturing, construction, installation and commissioning.
    • Coordinate audits, inspections and supplier assessments to identify potential quality risks early.
    • Monitor trends and analyse quality data to proactively identify emerging issues.
  • Resolution
    • Lead or support investigations into suspected CFSI events.
    • Coordinate timely event reporting, stakeholder engagement and corrective actions.
    • Manage investigations through to resolution, ensuring lessons learned are captured and shared across the organisation.
    • Act as the key interface with EDF's Direction Qualité Industrielle (DQI) _Lutte Contre la Fraude_ team.
• Supplier Quality Leadership
  • Manage and develop a team of Quality Engineers, providing leadership, coaching and professional development.
  • Support supplier technical assessments and identify areas requiring additional quality support.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supplier network.
  • Monitor supplier performance and provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build strong relationships across Sizewell C, the wider supply chain and the UK nuclear industry.
  • Deliver CFSI awareness briefings and presentations to a wide range of audiences.
  • Work closely with Technical, Supply Chain, Engineering and Project Delivery teams to ensure consistent quality standards are maintained.
  • Share best practice and lessons learned across programmes and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

As CFSI Manager, you will:

• Lead the implementation of CFSI quality arrangements across the Sizewell C project.
• Develop and maintain supplier quality reporting and performance metrics.
• Conduct supplier CFSI assessments and support improvement plans.
• Investigate quality concerns and manage CFSI resolution activities.
• Maintain CFSI records, reporting and quality data across project systems.
• Recruit, lead and develop Quality Engineers within the Supplier Quality team.
• Identify quality risks before they impact delivery and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Promote continuous improvement and organisational learning across the project.
• Produce high-quality reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Ensure all activities are delivered safely and in compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Quality leader with a strong background in supplier quality, quality assurance and safety-critical project delivery. You'll be passionate about driving quality standards, influencing stakeholders and building collaborative relationships across complex engineering environments.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, Science or another relevant discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Proven leadership experience within Quality Assurance or Quality Control in the nuclear sector or another highly regulated, safety-critical industry.
• Experience implementing quality management systems within large, multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of IAEA requirements together with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and/or ISO 19443 standards.
• Demonstrable experience leading teams of Quality professionals and developing high-performing individuals.
• Strong knowledge of Counterfeit, Fraudulent and Suspect Item (CFSI) risks within complex manufacturing supply chains.
• Experience analysing quality data, preparing reports and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence engaging audiences at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Office 365, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
• Fluent English, with French language skills considered highly advantageous.

Desirable Experience

• IRCA Lead Auditor qualification.
• Professional membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
• Experience working within nuclear new build or other major infrastructure programmes.
• Knowledge of UK Nuclear Site Licence Conditions and experience engaging with regulators such as the ONR.
• Experience working with integrated management systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with QA/QC codes, welding, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and specialist manufacturing processes.
• Experience working within international quality environments and multicultural project teams.
• Additional European language skills.
