Morson Edge are working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor to join their growing team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career within a well-established consultancy delivering projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, public sector, residential, industrial and insurance sectors.
Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in delivering a broad range of project and professional building surveying services while helping to strengthen client relationships and support the continued growth of the regional Building Surveying team.
The Opportunity: We're looking to speak with commercially aware Senior Building Surveyors who enjoy managing projects, developing long-term client relationships and mentoring junior colleagues. This role offers a varied workload, combining technical delivery, project management, client engagement and business development, providing an excellent platform for future career progression within a leading consultancy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a wide range of building surveying services across multiple sectors.
- Lead and manage refurbishment, alteration and improvement projects from inception through to completion.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications and contract documentation.
- Carry out technical reviews to ensure high standards of project delivery.
- Manage project programmes, budgets and commercial performance.
- Mentor and support junior Building Surveyors within the team.
- Contribute to business development and support the continued growth of the Building Surveying team.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
- Previous consultancy experience within Building Surveying.
- Strong project management and technical building surveying experience.
- Experience delivering projects across commercial, public sector or mixed-use developments.
- Strong report writing and technical presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Experience:
- Experience across education, healthcare, residential, industrial or insurance sectors.
- Knowledge of contract administration and project delivery.
- Commercial awareness with an interest in supporting business development.
- Full UK driving licence.
