Shape the voice of a growing organisation. We’re looking for a strategic and inspiring Head of Internal Communications & Engagement to play a pivotal role in connecting people, purpose, and performance across a dynamic and evolving organisation. This is a high-impact position working closely with the Chief People Officer and Executive team, where you’ll bring strategy to life—translating business goals into meaningful, engaging communication that resonates at every level. About the Role

You’ll lead the development and delivery of a forward-thinking internal communications and engagement strategy—one that strengthens connection, builds community, and supports organisational success. From major transformation programmes to day-to-day messaging, you’ll ensure employees feel informed, inspired, and aligned.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partner with senior leaders and the Executive team to shape and deliver impactful communication strategies
  • Lead the design and execution of internal communications across multiple channels
  • Deliver high-profile campaigns, change programmes, and engagement initiatives
  • Develop and optimise communication channels (intranet, social, email, events, etc.)
  • Act as the communications lead on cross-functional projects
  • Equip leaders and managers with tools to drive effective two-way communication
  • Tailor messaging for diverse audiences to maximise clarity and impact
  • Measure effectiveness and continuously improve communication strategies
  • Drive employee engagement through insight, feedback, and action planning
  • Provide expert guidance to senior stakeholders on messaging and positioning
  • Collaborate with HR and Marketing teams to ensure a joined-up approach
  • Build a strong internal network to share best practice and success stories
  • Oversee content quality, brand alignment, and platform governance
  • Lead crisis communications with clarity, confidence, and care
  • Implement and embed an internal communications platform
  • Deliver and act on annual employee engagement surveys

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • Proven track record in internal communications, ideally within a growing or changing organisation
  • Strong leadership presence with excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Experience creating and managing multi-channel communication strategies

  • Digitally savvy, with experience across social, content platforms, and communication tools
  • Strong analytical thinking—able to distil complex information into clear messaging
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of business strategy
