Morson are recruiting on behalf of a leading aerospace client for a Project Manager – Hydrogen Test Facilities / Lab Infrastructure. This is an opportunity to join a highly innovative Flight & Integration Test Centre environment, supporting the delivery of next-generation hydrogen test capability and fuel systems programmes across a multi-national engineering landscape.

Rate: £45.00 per hour Umbrella / £33.64 per hour PAYE

The Role

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of infrastructure to support the construction, commissioning, and operational requirements of a Hydrogen Test Facility, alongside multiple test benches supporting a wider fuel systems test programme. This role sits within the Test Means and Digital Platforms domain, a large international function operating across multiple European sites, providing critical lab and flight test solutions to enable aircraft development and certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full accountability for Time, Cost, and Quality across the project lifecycle
  • Define and manage the Statement of Work (SoW)
  • Establish and maintain project governance and structure
  • Drive execution using KPIs and performance metrics
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks and opportunities
  • Provide clear reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement

Project Environment

You will be supporting a high-profile test environment where lab and flight test means are used by engineers and flight crews to validate, integrate, and certify aircraft modifications. The role operates within an international, cross-functional subdomain responsible for project management, performance, safety, and financial coordination across multiple European locations.

About You

  • Strong background in Project or Programme Management (PMI or equivalent beneficial)
  • Engineering background (essential for understanding test infrastructure and systems)
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
  • High level of autonomy and adaptability in complex environments
  • Strong team player with the ability to lead and influence
  • Ability to anticipate change and drive project direction proactively
  • Advanced level of English language skills
