About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and detail-focused Warehouse Operative Forklift Driver with a valid Material Handling Equipment (MHE) licence to join a leading railway infrastructure company. This vital role supports efficient warehouse operations through accurate stock control and inventory management. You will be responsible for picking, packing, and moving stock precisely, ensuring all inventory records are accurate and current. Experience operating forklifts such as Counterbalance, VNA, or Reach trucks is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, ship, receive, put away, and kit components in accordance with warehouse management procedures.
- Maintain and update inventory records to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with stock control processes to support inventory management.
- Adhere to quality standards to ensure all stock is handled and packed securely, protecting items during transit and storage.
- Verify all picked stock and assembled loads prior to despatch using designated systems.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment, complying with health and safety regulations.
- Operate forklifts (Counterbalance, VNA, or Reach) safely and efficiently to support warehouse activities.
