Shape our people. Strengthen our business. Support our clients.
As we continue our ambitious programme of growth, acquisition and international expansion, we're looking for an exceptional
Group HR Director to join our Executive Leadership Team.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of a fast-growing, private equity-backed organisation where people, culture and commercial success are intrinsically linked.
We're looking for an inspirational HR leader who is equally passionate about developing people as they are about driving business performance.
Someone who is as comfortable influencing Board strategy as they are working alongside leaders to solve operational needs, build capability and create exceptional employee experiences.
This is a role that combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery.
You'll shape our long-term people strategy while remaining close enough to the business to understand its needs, support leaders, coach teams and help deliver meaningful change across the organisation.
Reporting directly to the Executive Chairman, you'll lead our Group-wide people agenda across our UK and international operations, ensuring our people strategy enables sustainable growth, operational excellence and long-term commercial success.
A role with genuine impact
No two days will be the same.
One day you'll be presenting workforce strategy to the Executive Board, helping shape the future direction of the Group.
The next, you'll be supporting leaders through organisational development, advising on complex people matters, helping support acquisitions and integrations, developing future leadership capability or implementing new technologies that improve the employee experience.
You'll lead across every aspect of the employee lifecycle, including
- Developing and delivering our Group-wide People Strategy.
- Leadership development, succession planning and organisational capability.
- Workforce planning aligned to commercial growth and future business needs.
- Talent acquisition strategy, partnering closely with our Talent Acquisition Director to build proactive talent pipelines and strengthen our employer brand.
- HR technology, AI-enabled recruitment, automation and people analytics.
- Employee engagement, wellbeing, culture and performance.
- Reward, recognition and organisational effectiveness.
- HR operations, governance and compliance across multiple international locations.
- Supporting acquisitions, integrations and organisational transformation.
Whilst this is a strategic Executive role, you'll also remain hands-on working closely with the business, providing practical HR support to the group, coaching and guidance to leaders across the Group whenever it's needed.
Commercially minded. People focused.
We're looking for someone who understands that exceptional HR creates commercial advantage.
You'll work alongside senior leaders to improve organisational performance, increase capability and build high-performing teams, while ensuring our culture remains one of our greatest strengths.
Beyond our internal business, you'll also become a key ambassador for our growing HR Outsourcing and Talent Solutions offering.
Working closely with our commercial teams and the Head of HR Outsourcing, you'll support client development activities by contributing to strategic sales meetings, client presentations, proposals and solution design.
Drawing upon your HR expertise and commercial insight, you'll help organisations solve complex people challenges, showcase the breadth of our HR capability and demonstrate how our wider talent solutions can deliver measurable business value.
Whether meeting prospective clients, supporting key account relationships or helping shape innovative workforce solutions, you'll play an important role in strengthening our market reputation and driving the continued growth of our HR Outsourcing and Talent Solutions businesses.
About you
You'll be an experienced HR leader who naturally builds relationships, inspires confidence and enjoys helping both people and businesses succeed.
You'll bring
- Significant senior HR leadership experience within a complex, multi-site, international organisation, within a private equity-backed environment.
- Experience balancing strategic leadership with hands-on operational delivery.
- A proven track record of organisational development, business transformation, acquisitions and change management.
- Outstanding commercial acumen with the ability to influence Executive stakeholders and contribute to business growth.
- Experience working directly with clients, supporting commercial activity or developing value-added people solutions would be highly advantageous.
- Strong expertise across organisational design, workforce planning, talent, reward, employee engagement and HR operations.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to build trusted relationships across colleagues, clients and senior stakeholders.
- Experience leveraging technology, AI and data to enhance organisational capability and improve decision making.
- CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent).
