An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and forward-thinking HR professional to join a growing organisation in Sheffield as a Human Resources Business Partner. This is a senior HR role with both strategic and operational responsibility, supporting leaders across a multi-site organisation to deliver an outstanding people service that drives performance, wellbeing, and organisational success.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will lead on workforce strategy, employee relations, organisational change, recruitment, and people development initiatives, while managing and supporting an HR Advisor within the central HR function.
The RoleAs HR Business Partner, you will:
- Provide expert HR advice and strategic support to senior leaders
- Lead on complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, restructures, TUPE, and performance management
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and workforce strategies
- Support organisational change and continuous improvement projects
- Drive recruitment and retention initiatives to attract high-quality talent
- Promote staff wellbeing, engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Produce HR reports and data insights to support decision-making
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and trade unions
- Line manage and support the development of an HR Advisor
- Ensure HR compliance with employment legislation and safeguarding requirements
You will be an experienced HR professional with strong generalist knowledge and the confidence to operate at both strategic and operational level. You will ideally have:
- Experience in a senior HR or HR Business Partner role
- Strong employee relations and change management experience
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience supporting managers across a range of people matters
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative, approachable, and solutions-focused style
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience within education or multi-site environments is highly desirable
