Overview
In this role you will lead the health and safety strategy for a Midlands construction-focused building services provider. You will develop and run safety and environmental programs to ensure compliant, safe workplaces across projects in education, leisure and office spaces. You will partner with operations and clients to assess HSE aspects, propose solutions and drive their implementation. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and manage comprehensive HSE programs
- Monitor regulatory compliance and reduce workplace hazards
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility
- Assess, document and manage HSE aspects across projects
- Interact with operations teams and customers to ensure works meet company expectations
- Outline proposals/solutions for HSE issues and drive delivery team implementation
- Conduct health and safety audits and prepare RAMS for complex works
- Investigate accidents/incidents and maintain regulatory knowledge
- Utilise MS Office tools for reporting and communication
Key requirements
- NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- NEBOSH Construction or equivalent
- Experience of health and safety audits
- Experience of creating RAMS for complex works
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and standards
- Accident and incident investigation experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to influence change and challenge unsafe practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Full UK Driving licence
