An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Finance to join a market‑leading engineering and services business during a significant period of growth and transformation. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, providing strategic financial leadership, commercial insight, and robust governance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with senior leadership to develop and deliver the medium and long‑term growth strategy.
- Financial Risk Management: Identify key financial risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate action plans are in place.
- Business Development: Oversee production of monthly management accounts, including P&L; deliver meaningful financial analysis and KPI reporting; ensure strong financial controls, governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks are maintained.
- Audit: Work closely with executive leadership and wider group stakeholders; foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and commercial awareness; drive collaboration and best practice across finance and operational teams.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Significant senior finance leadership experience within a commercial or operational environment.
- Strong background in financial planning, reporting, controls, and business partnering.
- Demonstrable experience supporting growth, transformation, and change initiatives.
- Commercially astute with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high‑performing teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
