Overview
As Finance Analyst – Working Capital you will help boost business performance through cash flow management and working capital optimization. You’ll work in the UK Corporate Finance team, partnering with Finance, Operations and Commercial colleagues to turn data into actionable insights. The role focuses on receivables, payables, inventory and capex, identifying risks and opportunities to support strategic decisions. You’ll contribute to improved cash performance and embrace continuous improvement through automation and data analytics. Responsibilities
- Analyse key working capital metrics (receivables, payables, inventory, customer advances, capex)
- Create reports, dashboards and forecasts to support decision making
- Partner with Finance, Operations and Commercial teams to identify cash flow improvements
- Prepare monthly cash flow and working capital reports for senior leadership
- Translate complex data into clear recommendations and spotlight trends
- Investigate data discrepancies and propose corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including AI and automation in cash analysis and reporting
Key requirements
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant, or qualified by experience
- Experience in cash flow forecasting or working capital analysis or operational finance
- Strong Excel skills with complex financial data
- Experience using ERP systems or BI tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills for diverse stakeholders
- Collaborative with cross-functional relationship-building
