Overview

In this role you will lead delivery of construction activities within the Water/Utilities division, ensuring safety, environmental stewardship and scheme compliance. You will manage a local delivery team and work closely with clients to meet time, cost and quality targets. The position sits under the Project Manager and focuses on practical delivery, risk control and cross-functional collaboration to support the division’s water and wastewater initiatives. This is a delivery-focused role in a well-known consultancy, offering exposure to large-scale programmes and client-facing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee construction activities to meet scheme deliverables and compliance.
  • Lead and motivate the local construction delivery team.
  • Manage Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability compliance on site.
  • Monitor and report on project programmes; ensure timely execution.
  • Maintain CDM and construction Health & Safety requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and end users; manage expectations.
  • Set targets and drive delivery to time, cost and quality objectives.

Key requirements

  • Temporary Works Experience/Qualification
  • Project Management Experience
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction related discipline
  • APMP or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in large scale programmes of construction delivery
  • Experience in the water/wastewater treatment industry
  • Experience in management of and monitoring of Project Programmes
  • Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety
  • Excellent oral and written communicator with ability to partner with clients and end users
  • Delivery-driven with ability to set targets
  • Ability to manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on time, cost and quality
  • Commercially astute
  • Strong communication skills
