An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading engineering and infrastructure consultancy, supporting the delivery of major client programmes across a range of sectors.
Working within a specialist project delivery division, the successful candidate will lead the delivery of complex projects, working directly with key clients and becoming embedded within major programmes. This role requires the ability to manage technical, commercial and operational challenges while leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations.
The successful Project Manager will play a key role in enabling organisations to maximise the benefits of digital transformation and innovative ways of working, partnering with clients to improve delivery capability and successfully manage projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of projects through the full project lifecycle.
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Take ownership of project planning, forecasting, scheduling, financial reporting, risk management and change control.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Lead project teams located across multiple sites, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Ensure contracted work is delivered in line with agreed scope, programme, cost and quality objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery and support clients through organisational and digital transformation initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity and collaborative working throughout project delivery.
Skills & Experience
- APMP or PRINCE2 qualification.
- Experience delivering projects using NEC or other recognised project delivery methodologies.
- Practical knowledge of Agile and/or Scrum methodologies would be advantageous.
- Proven experience leading and motivating project teams.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools and best practice.
- Experience managing projects throughout the complete project lifecycle.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Ability to manage project risks, issues and change effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
