Morson Edge are recruiting a Process Operative to join Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester on an initial 6 month contract. Safran Landing Systems is a global leader in aircraft landing gear and braking systems, supporting commercial, business and military aviation. The Process Operative will help keep production running smoothly.
Candidates must be prepared to work the following shifts which alternates every 2 weeks, the late and night shifts are paid at a higher rate
07.30 - 16.00 Monday - Thursday, 12.00 Friday
16.00 - 22.00 Monday - Thursday 1200 - 2200 Friday
22.00 - 07.30 Mon – Thursday (no Friday)
The role involves but is not limited to the following:
- Preparing components for surface‑finishing processes (degreasing, masking, grit blasting).
- Moving and organising WIP into the correct processing areas.
- Loading and unloading ovens for stress‑relief and de‑embrittlement cycles, including recording work.
- Supporting operators by ensuring parts are ready for each stage of the process line.
- Helping other areas such as NDT or wider manufacturing when required.
- Maintaining high standards of safety, 5S and housekeeping across the workspace.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment(aerospace experience is a bonus).
- Someone self-managed, reliableand comfortable with hands‑on work.
- Good communication andteamwork skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach and willingness to support different areas when needed.
- Strong commitment to safe working practisesand maintaining a clean, organised environment.
