Salary
- Local contractors – Standard: PAYE: £20.10, UMBRELLA: £26.89; Nightshift: PAYE: £26.73, UMBRELLA: £35.67.
- Travelling contractors – Standard: PAYE: £28.10, UMBRELLA: £37.75; Nightshift: PAYE: £34.73, UMBRELLA: £46.52.
Responsibilities
- Machinery and plant installation
- Levelling and laser alignment of mechanical equipment
- Torque of equipment – tightening to a certain degree
- Working to tight tolerance with equipment
- Dimensional controls of equipment (e.g., laser measuring devices)
- Drilling and tapping of holes
- Marking off
- Jig fabrication
- Working with hydraulics
Qualifications
- Trade papers, e.g., formal modern apprenticeship
- Shaft line experience
- Clear understanding of SHE risks awareness
- Understanding of manufacturing processes
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and/or at height
- Safety certification – e.g., SHE induction, COSHH awareness, working at height
- Mechanical background and experience within mechanical fitter role

Candidate must be flexible to work shift patterns. Full rate card available on request. Successful candidates will be required to gain security clearance before eligible to start on site (we will help with all paperwork).
