The Data Architect acts as the single point of coherence for data decisions between the business directorates that support Transmission, and the wider data governance and technology functions throughout SP Energy Networks.
Expectations:
- Define and implement standards for the capture of enterprise-aligned data models, aligned to enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) and data management best practice (e.g. DAMA-DMBOK).
- Establish and implement an SPT data governance model and best practices.
- Support integration & data roadmap design through the documentation of relational ownership models.
- Work alongside business and solution architects to design end-to-end data flows from both a business and system perspective.
- Responsible for building relationships across the SPT Transformation team alongside the wider SPEN business data & technology functions.
- Strong experience enabling interoperability across systems (e.g. SAP, GIS) using integration patterns, APIs, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Develop a way of working with business architecture, solution architecture and external vendors to ensure compliance to defined data models.
Requirements:
- Significant experience designing and delivering scalable relational data architectures and enterprise data models to support organisation-wide integration.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain consistent data models, standards, and master data structures aligned to business needs.
- Strong experience enabling interoperability across systems (e.g. SAP, GIS) using integration patterns, APIs, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience establishing effective data governance frameworks, including ownership, quality controls, and aligned Asset Information Models.
