GA4 Performance Analyst
Rate: Up to £400 per day (Outside IR35)
Duration: 12 months +

Location: Hybrid – Manchester or London
On‑site: 1 day every 2 weeks at your local hub
We’re partnering with a leading digital consultancy to scale a high‑profile delivery team supporting a major Central Government department.
We’re looking for an experienced GA4 Performance Analyst to analyse digital journeys, user behaviour and service performance, turning data into clear insights that help improve government digital services.
What you’ll be doing
- Analyse digital performance, web traffic and user journeys using Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
- Identify trends, behaviours and opportunities to improve digital services.
- Build and maintain performance reporting and dashboards.
- Use SQL to query, manipulate and extract data to support analysis.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively within Agile delivery teams and in line with GDS standards.
- Communicate findings to stakeholders across technical, product and delivery teams.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a Performance Analyst / Digital Analyst.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Google Analytics / GA4.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience working within UK Central Government / public sector environments – essential.
- Experience working to GDS standards and within Agile delivery teams.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex data and analysis clearly to non‑technical audiences.
Central Government experience is essential for this position.
