Location: Oxford (Hybrid 3 days a week on-site)

Rate: £37.01 per hour

Contract: 6 Months

Morson are recruiting on behalf of a leading global aerospace and defence client for a Financial Analyst to join their finance team on a six‑month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to support financial reporting across defence programmes while contributing to future bid campaigns within a fast‑paced and highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll journals and support payroll activities
  • Maintain fixed asset registers, including control and monitoring
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations
  • Raise and manage intercompany invoices
  • Support statutory audit activities and provide required documentation
  • Produce Forex reporting and analysis
  • Assist with month‑end close activities and financial reporting
  • Support financial reporting for defence projects and future bid campaigns

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of finance principles with experience in payroll, fixed asset control, invoicing and Forex reporting
  • Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month‑end processes
  • Knowledge of VAT returns and statutory audit support
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong report writing and documentation abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to tight deadlines
  • Solid understanding of work package management and work package control
  • Knowledge of risk management principles
