Morson are recruiting on behalf of a leading global aerospace and defence client for a Financial Analyst to join their finance team on a six‑month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to support financial reporting across defence programmes while contributing to future bid campaigns within a fast‑paced and highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll journals and support payroll activities
- Maintain fixed asset registers, including control and monitoring
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Raise and manage intercompany invoices
- Support statutory audit activities and provide required documentation
- Produce Forex reporting and analysis
- Assist with month‑end close activities and financial reporting
- Support financial reporting for defence projects and future bid campaigns
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of finance principles with experience in payroll, fixed asset control, invoicing and Forex reporting
- Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month‑end processes
- Knowledge of VAT returns and statutory audit support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong report writing and documentation abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to tight deadlines
- Solid understanding of work package management and work package control
- Knowledge of risk management principles
