Morson Edge are supporting a leading aerospace and defence organisation in the recruitment of an Electrical Supervisor to support aircraft maintenance operations at RAF Valley. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled maintenance team working within a regulated aviation environment, supporting operational aircraft activities and ensuring continued airworthiness and safety standards.
Key Information
- Location: RAF Valley, Isle of Anglesey
- Position: Permanent, £34,703.20 plus shift allowance
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Environment: Military Aviation / Aircraft Maintenance
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise complex aircraft maintenance activities within an operational aviation environment
- Work independently using approved technical data and maintenance instructions
- Ensure compliance with Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) requirements
- Provide support during peak flying periods to maintain operational delivery
- Undertake Out-of-Phase (OOP) maintenance tasks during aircraft turnarounds
- Assist aircrew with crew-in rectification activities
- Make technical decisions within authorised limits based on trade, experience, and competence
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Support safe and efficient aircraft maintenance operations onsite
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience within an aircraft maintenance environment
- Fully competent with all required maintenance authorities in place
- Strong understanding of approved maintenance procedures and aviation safety requirements
- Ability to work independently within a regulated and safety-critical environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally Aeronautical or military equivalent
- City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering & Maintenance, or equivalent qualification
