What you’ll be doing Reporting to the Finance Director (Reporting, Planning & Financial Control), you’ll play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls and ensuring compliance with Group policies and financial reporting standards.
Analysing key balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigating movements and ensuring accurate accounting treatment.
Reviewing and correcting general ledger balances where required.
Preparing and reviewing key reconciliations, including payroll, intercompany balances and project accounting.
Supporting statutory and technical accounting activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and FRS 101.
Developing accounting policy documentation and communicating financial policies across the business.
Supporting external audit activities, coordinating requests and ensuring timely delivery of information.
Assisting with the implementation and testing of internal financial controls.
Working with finance colleagues across the business to support reporting and budgeting activities.
Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes through automation, digital tools and AI-driven solutions.
Providing technical accounting guidance and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
What we’re looking for We’re looking for a proactive, analytical finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
Post-qualified experience within audit, financial reporting or financial analysis.
Experience analysing complex financial information and interpreting large data sets.
Excellent Excel skills and confidence using financial systems and reporting tools.
Commercial awareness and a continuous improvement mindset.
An interest in leveraging technology and AI to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
Experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems such as Oracle, Cognos, TM1, Magnitude or Anaplan.
