If you’re a qualified crane operator who takes pride in safe, high-quality work and wants the opportunity to be part of nationally important engineering programmes, this could be your next move.

What you’ll be doing

  • Safely lifting, moving and positioning loads
  • Operating mobile and overhead cranes in line with project requirements
  • Working in confined spaces when required
  • Following strict Health & Safety procedures and maintaining safe working practices
  • Reading and interpreting job specifications

  • A strong commitment to Health & Safety
  • Flexibility to work night shifts when required

Shifts & clearance

The role will initially operate on a shift pattern, with flexibility required for nights.

If moving onto night shifts, you’ll first complete one week on day shifts to allow for risk assessment.

Due to the nature of the project, you must also be willing to obtain full SC clearance before starting. Clearance is expected to take approximately 6–8 weeks.

Pre-employment and random drug testing may also be required.

Why apply?

  • Long-term project with a leading UK defence manufacturer
