We are seeking a Maintenance Team Leader on a Permanent basis, who will be responsible for leading a skilled mechanical maintenance team. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent leadership skills.
Working closely with Operations, Planning and Procurement, you will coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, support continuous improvement initiatives and help ensure our maintenance activities are completed to the highest standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting a team of mechanical maintenance engineers.
- Planning and coordinating preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
- Ensuring maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Promoting a positive health, safety and environmental culture across the team.
- Managing maintenance records using our computerised maintenance system.
- Overseeing maintenance stores, spare parts and inventory.
- Managing contractors and ensuring work is delivered safely and effectively.
- Working with internal stakeholders to improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
- Driving continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs.
Skills / Experience Required
- A recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship.
- Previous experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing, chemical, oil & gas, energy or other process industry environment.
- Experience planning and delivering preventative maintenance programmes.
- Confidence using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.
