Overview
As a Procurement Manager, you will lead procurement across the UGS business, safeguarding commercial interests and delivering value. You will align sourcing with Group standards and regulatory requirements, supporting both capital and operational expenditure programmes. You’ll develop procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and oversee governance while building procurement capability. The role interfaces with site and Group stakeholders to drive cross-functional impact and growth in a high‑regulation environment. Responsibilities
- Lead procurement delivery for the UGS business in line with policies and governance
- Develop and maintain procurement plans aligned to operational and strategic objectives
- Implement category strategies in collaboration with Group Procurement
- Manage supplier and stakeholder relationships, ensuring compliance with standards
- Ensure contracts and supplier decisions meet regulatory and Group requirements
- Support onboarding and ongoing supplier performance management
- Drive value through procurement strategies and management of capital and operational expenditure
- Provide day-to-day leadership to the procurement team and allocate resources
- Foster capability development and continuous improvement across procurement
Key requirements
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience
- CIPS qualification or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior procurement role
- Experience leading procurement teams and supplier relationships
- Experience in capital-intensive or regulated environments
- Strong procurement, commercial, and contract management expertise
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills
