Overview
In this role you will lead project controls across a portfolio of complex programmes within Urenco’s Government Services function, acting as a key interface between site teams and Group stakeholders. You will develop and implement controls strategies for scope, cost, schedule, risk and benefits, enabling informed decision-making and successful delivery. You will lead and develop a high-performing Project Support team, ensuring robust reporting, forecasting and resource planning. The role offers influence across regulated environments and major capital projects, contributing to Urenco’s mission of secure, reliable low-carbon energy. Responsibilities
- Lead and develop project controls activities across a portfolio of projects
- Develop and implement project controls strategies and plans for scope, cost, schedule, risk and benefits
- Establish reporting frameworks, performance metrics and forecasting
- Monitor project and supply chain performance; identify risks and opportunities
- Provide decision-support through robust controls and analysis to project teams
- Lead and develop a team delivering planning, cost, risk, reporting and project control services
- Ensure deployment and utilisation of project controls resources and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture
Key requirements
- Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- Project Management or Project Controls qualification (APM, PMI, ACostE, or equivalent)
- Experience leading project controls on major capital projects
- Full lifecycle experience from concept to handover
- Experience in multidisciplinary teams and regulated environments
- Strong project controls, reporting, forecasting and resource planning expertise
