Overview
In this role you will lead the Control & Electrical (CE) team at our Middlewich site, ensuring governance, safety and technical excellence across electrical, instrumentation, automation, and control systems.
You will drive continuous improvement, develop CE standards and procedures, and partner with planners and stakeholders to deliver safe, well-scoped maintenance and projects.
You will coach frontline leaders, foster accountability, and promote a culture aligned with ALCOA++ principles and MHRA accreditation.

Responsibilities
- Fulfil the role of Control & Electrical Duty Holder for the Middlewich sites, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, and procedures
- Maintain governance for electrical and control systems, identifying and managing risks
- Collaborate with senior CE leaders to share best practice and maintain CE standards and practices
- Promote safety and lead technical expertise across electrical, instrumentation, automation, and control systems
- Coach CE Supervisor and Senior Technicians to enable effective leadership and frontline engagement
- Lead daily management of CE work activities via Tier 3 planning and scheduling meetings
- Coordinate with Planning Engineer to scope, prioritise, resource, and prepare planned maintenance
- Develop the CE team towards quality of work, data accuracy, and SOP alignment with ALCOA++ and MHRA accreditation
- Manage internal and external resources (Contractors) to deliver maintenance and project activities safely and to standard
- Key requirements
- Electrical engineering degree (or equivalent) with significant maintenance management experience
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and understanding of statutory electrical standards
- In-depth electrical expertise and hands-on experience
- Proven experience managing and developing CE teams/projects
- Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment (preferred)
- Knowledge of Works Management systems, Process Computing Technologies, Drives, PLCs and Electrical Infrastructure
