Morson are recruiting on behalf of Marshall Land Systems for a Project Finance Business Partner to support complex, long-term programmes within a private equity-backed engineering environment. This is a commercially focused role within a programme-led setting, requiring strong experience in project cost management, financial risk analysis, and stakeholder partnering. You will work closely with project and programme teams to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and support delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Project and Programme Managers to provide financial insight and challenge on project performance.
  • Monitor and control project costs, budgets, forecasts, and margins across long-term programmes.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks and opportunities within projects.
  • Deliver accurate project forecasting, including cost-to-complete and cash flow analysis.
  • Support revenue recognition (IFRS 15) within a project delivery environment.
  • Drive financial governance and ensure adherence to private equity reporting standards.
  • Provide meaningful financial analysis to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
  • Support audits and ensure robust financial controls across programme activity.

Requirements

  • CIMA / ACCA qualified (or QBE with strong relevant experience).
  • Strong experience in a programme-led or project-based environment (not just accounting/reporting).
  • Proven background in finance business partnering within projects or programmes.
  • Experience managing project costs, risks, and financial performance end-to-end.
  • Industry experience in engineering, defence, manufacturing, construction, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS 15, applied in a project delivery environment.
  • Ability to influence non-finance stakeholders and operate commercially.
