Protecting What Matters. Powering the Future of Naval Technology. We’re looking for a Business Development / Technical Sales Manager. Based at one of our UK sites (Loudwater, Greenford or Weymouth), you’ll drive business growth by building strong customer relationships and developing tailored technical solutions within the naval defence sector, with hybrid working available.

What you’ll do:
- Managing key customer relationships to support and grow long‑term business opportunities
- Identifying and developing new sales opportunities across UK and international markets
- Leading and supporting bid activities, including PQQs and ITTs
- Preparing and delivering customer presentations, proposals, and solutions
- Collaborating with engineering, project management, and operations teams to deliver effective outcomes
- Supporting internal teams with market insights and customer feedback
What do you need to thrive in this role?
- Experience in business development, sales, or engineering within the defence or maritime sector
- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to a range of stakeholders
- Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, self‑motivated approach with strong organisational skills
- Experience supporting or contributing to bids and tender processes
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field or a background in the Armed Forces
Security Requirements
This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held; however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks. For further details of the evidence required to apply for Baseline and Security Clearance please refer to the United Kingdom Vetting Service (UKSV).
