About Us
Morson applies, supplies and connects technical skills across aerospace, defence, energy, professional services, infrastructure and technology to solve productivity problems for the world's change makers. Morson’s four global strategic business units – Morson Praxis, Morson Edge, Morson Vital, and Morson Nexus – provide silo-free access to consultancy, talent and training. Our rare line of sight across organisations, project lifecycles, industries and global markets means we offer solutions others simply can’t.
As we continue to expand, we’re growing our Bid Team and are looking for multiple Bid Writers to join us at our Manchester/Salford HQ. We currently have two key roles live, with further opportunities likely as the team continues to grow - so we’re keen to speak with people at different levels.
The Opportunities We’re hiring for:
- Bid Writer – Morson Vital (Rail / Construction Focus): A role supporting major infrastructure frameworks and projects within Morson Vital. Experience in rail, construction, or wider infrastructure sectors is essential for this role, as you’ll be translating technical project details into compelling, client-focused bid responses.
- Bid Writer – Generalist (Flexible Background): A broader bid writing role supporting opportunities across different sectors within Morson. Previous experience in recruitment is ideal, but we’re open to anyone with strong writing skills, whether you come from another industry, a coordinator looking to step up, or a more experienced bid or proposal writer. This role offers excellent development and progression opportunities, as the team is growing and new responsibilities and seniority levels are likely to emerge over time.
Your Role
As a Bid Writer at Morson, you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality, winning bid submissions that support our continued growth across multiple sectors. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to develop clear, compelling, and compliant responses that showcase our expertise and differentiate us in competitive tenders.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Writing and coordinating high-quality bid and tender responses
- Translating technical and operational input into clear, engaging content
- Collaborating with SMEs, operational teams, and senior stakeholders
- Ensuring submissions are fully compliant and aligned to win themes
- Managing multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Contributing to bid strategy, storyboarding, and continuous improvement
- Supporting the development of bid libraries and best practice
What We’re Looking For:
For both roles:
- Proven experience in bid writing, proposals, or other professional writing
- Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders
- Collaborative and highly organised
For Rail / Construction Role:
- Experience in rail, construction, or wider infrastructure sectors is essential; strong understanding of sector requirements and tender processes; ability to confidently manage complex, technical bid content.
For Generalist Role:
- Strong writing skills are key; background in recruitment is a plus but not required
- Open to bid coordinators or less experienced writers looking to develop
- Open to experienced writers who can bring expertise and take ownership of complex bids
- Interest in growing within a developing team and taking on new responsibilities
Why Join Morson Group?
- Be part of a high-performing, growing bid team
- Work on major UK infrastructure and recruitment projects
- Clear progression and development opportunities as the team expands
- Hybrid working model
- 26 days holiday + bank holidays
- Health
