We are seeking experienced NC Programmers / Manufacturing Engineers with expertise in multi-axis machining and/or CMM programming to support the development of digital manufacturing processes. The role involves translating CAD models, drawings, and manufacturing specifications into efficient NC programs to support machining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise multi-axis NC programs using CAD/CAM systems
- Translate engineering design data into manufacturing processes
- Support process planning, design for manufacture (DFM), and dimensional management
- Validate programs using simulation software
- Support production with technical expertise and process improvements
- Manage engineering tasks to cost, quality, and schedule
Required Experience
- Experience with multi-axis machining NC programming and/or CMM programming
- Strong understanding of machining principles and manufacturing processes
- Experience with CAD/CAM systems such as: CATIA V5, Autodesk PowerMill / PowerShape or Siemens NX
- Experience with CGTECH Vericut simulation
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Familiarity with PLM, SAP CAM, Shop Floor Manager or similar systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree, HNC/HND, or recognised engineering apprenticeship
- Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing preferred
