I am looking for a full time CS&A Designer (Civils 3D) to be based within the SWMEW Civil, Structural & Architectural team in Warrington or Workington.
This is a 12 month full time contract role inside IR35 with rates starting at Β£35ph. There is a minimum 3 days attendance in the office with core working hours 9am until 4:30pm.
BPSS clearance is required for this role.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly skilled designer with expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing complex, data-rich BIM models for large-scale infrastructure projects.
You will manage dynamic engineering data to ensure design accuracy, consistency, and efficiency from conceptual stage through to construction documentation.
We are currently involved in the delivery of the Site Ion Exchange Project.
SIXEP Waste Management Treatment Facility- Enabling Works Scope
You will be specifically working on the Enabling works package to support the development of a treatment facility for SIXEP and SCP secondary waste.
The works will include service diversions development of service and drainage schemes earthworks vehicle tracking road layouts developing new schemes connecting into existing infrastructure producing foundation drawings and details.
The CSA team currently consists of two lead civil engineers a lead civils designer senior civil engineer graduate engineer and two apprentice engineers.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Model Management- Create and maintain complex 3D surfaces using points, breaklines, and boundaries.
Corridor Design- Develop intelligent 3D roadway models using alignments, profiles, and custom assemblies.
BIM Workflow- Implement and manage Data Shortcuts to maintain a _single source of truth_ across multi-disciplinary project teams.
Automated Production- Set up and manage Sheet Set Manager and Plan Production tools to generate high-volume construction sets (Plan/Profile/Cross-Section) with minimal manual editing.
Analysis & Reporting- Perform earthwork volume calculations, interference checks (clash detection), and pipe network analysis.
Experience using Revit and Autodesk Design Review to produce and review GA and detail drawings in a Building Information Modelling (BIM) environment.
Experience using British and European Standards and Building Regulations, and the methodologies required when detailing elements.
Experience in detailing below ground drainage and services groundworks steelwork and reinforced concrete.
Experience working in an industrial/heavy civils environment preferred. Nuclear experience preferred but not required.
Experience in checking of modelling and drawing output.
Attend regular model reviews/space management meetings and be able to represent CS&A and present the model.
Work closely with CS&A Engineers/Architects and modelers from other disciplines to co-ordinate the development of the model.
Understand and fulfil the Designer role under the CDM Regulations.
ESSENTIAL:
Civil / structural engineering MEng or equivalent.
Expert mastery of Autodesk Civil 3D (minimum 5+ years) Revit Autodesk Design Review and Vehicle Tracking.
Mastery of feature lines and grading objects for site development.
(Preferred) Ability to create custom subassemblies for non-standard roadway components.
Deep understanding of layering standards, plot styles (CTB/STB), object management and label style customization.
Ideally have some nuclear experience but if not, in a similar industrial field.
Adaptability and flexibility will be useful in the early stages of the project restart as the team will be small.
Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary teams and presenting modelling updates within group environments.
Enthusiastic and willing to help, mentor and develop less experienced members of the CS&A team.
