We're currently recruiting experienced Freelance Site Engineers and Section Engineers to join one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, HS2.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term freelance work on a nationally significant project, with competitive day rates, a strong pipeline of work, and the opportunity to work across a variety of major civil engineering packages.
The Role

- Buckingham (MK18)
- Brackley (NN13)
- Chipping Warden (OX17)
Projects include a range of major infrastructure works including highways, structures, earthworks and drainage.
We're Looking For
- Structures
- Highways
- Earthworks
- Drainage (advantageous)
Applicants should have previous experience working on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects and be confident in delivering engineering activities on site.
Responsibilities
- Setting out and surveying works.
- Managing engineering activities on site.
- Interpreting drawings and technical specifications.
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and to programme.
- Producing and maintaining site records and QA documentation.
- Supporting subcontractors and site teams.
- Managing temporary works, permits and inspections where required.
- Liaising with Site Agents, Project Managers and wider delivery teams.
- Maintaining high quality and health & safety standards throughout the project.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Section Engineer.
- Civil Engineering background.
- Experience in Structures, Highways and/or Earthworks is essential depending on the project.
- Experience on major infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
