Job Description Quantity Surveyor - Middleton - Permanent - Up to £60,000 per annum - Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) - HVAC Projects - Full-time, office based \n Summary \n Our client, a specialist M&E company focusing on air conditioning and ventilation, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with strong expertise in Contract Law to support current and upcoming HVAC projects. The role involves comprehensive commercial management duties including risk allocation, valuation of variations, payment notices, claims management, and dispute resolution. \n This is a full-time, office-based position requiring a proactive individual capable of working closely with project teams to ensure contractual compliance and financial control throughout the project lifecycle. \n Key Responsibilities \n • Manage risk allocation and contractual obligations on projects \n • Prepare and value variations, payment notices, and certifications \n • Handle claims, loss and expense assessments, and dispute resolution processes \n • Prepare Bills of Quantities and undertake detailed cost planning \n • Produce accurate cost reporting including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) \n • Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, payments, and final accounts \n • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure commercial objectives are met \n Skills \n • Experience in Contract Law (essential) \n • Degree in Quantity Surveying \n • Familiarity with standard forms of contract (e.g., JCT, NEC) \n • Strong commercial and contractual management skills \n • Excellent negotiation and communication skills \n • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills \n \n JBRP1_UKTJ
