Our client is currently recruiting for a Reliability & Maintainability Engineer. Working within Product Support Engineering, you will be part of the Reliability and Maintainability Department who provide and co-ordinate specialist R&M knowledge to deliver support to design engineering and logistics modelling, and prepare contracted deliverable outputs for a range of helicopter programmes.
The main purpose of the role is to provide and co-ordinate specialist Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) engineering knowledge to deliver design and logistic support, oversee junior team members and prepare contracted deliverable outputs for a range of programmes within the Reliability & Maintainability department. You will also be responsible for monitoring budget, planning workloads and assessing scope and support for new work as requirements are submitted to the department.
The Customer Support Division is responsible for supporting an extensive in-service helicopter fleet operated by many clients worldwide, including some of the most technologically advanced helicopters in the world.
You will provide expert specialist analysis, advice and support within the following Reliability and Maintainability disciplines:
- RM&T Programme Planning.
- Reliability Analysis.
- Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Implement Development and Production Reliability testing (RGT, HALT, HASS, ESS, PRAT).
- Reliability Centred Maintenance, including Scheduled Maintenance Analysis.
- Maintainability Analysis.
- Testability Analysis.
- Maintainability input to Design.
- Failure/Data Recording, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (F/DRACAS).
- Availability Analysis.
- Reliability and Maintainability Project Planning & Budget Control.
Proven Ability / Key Skills
- Educated to minimum of HNC level in a relevant aviation related subject and/or have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
- Proven ability in Reliability and Maintainability sufficient to gain the necessary technical knowledge and proven ability to make expert technical assessments and judgements related to R&M.
- A working knowledge of applicable industry Standards and Policies applicable to R&M and Aircraft Maintenance is essential, including: UK MoD Defence Standards (e.g. 00-40, 00-42, 00-44 and 0045, MAM-P (and related Regulatory Articles and Manuals), JAP(D)100C-22, etc.), Military Standards (e.g. 1629A, 882E, etc.), ATA-MSG-3.
- An awareness of the application of Mil-Hdbk-217F, EPRD & NPRD, FMD, ASD S4000P and ASD S5000F, etc.
- Effective communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of an integrated matrix team and lead other team members is required.
