We have an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of a new global B2B website to launch and lead the post-launch aftercare phase. This role is covering maternity leave therefore requires some flexibility to begin with, before the full handover is completed in October.
The Website Project Manager will bring all workstreams (content, development and stakeholder engagement) together to deliver to scope and to time, managing the website development team day-to-day, managing the content stage gates in the plan, and owning risk management and mitigation through go-live and the post-launch backlog.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and delivery: own the integrated delivery plan across design, build, content and test; bring the workstreams together to deliver to agreed scope and time.
- Content stage gates: run the stage gate reviews in the plan, with clear entry and exit criteria; recommend go/no-go at each gate to ensure on-time authoring and publishing.
- Development team: lead the development team day-to-day and hold the teams accountable for technical delivery - quality, pace and clarity of ownership.
- Risk and issue management: maintain a live risk and issue log with named owners and mitigations; drive mitigations to closure.
- Escalation: judge when risks or decisions need to go to the Global Head of Marketing; escalate early and clearly, with the issue, impact, options and a recommendation.
- UAT: plan and run user acceptance testing with the wider team across business units, including scripts, defect triage and sign-off.
- Go-live readiness: own cutover planning, communications, rollback and hypercare; lead the team through go-live, aftercare and into business-as-usual.
- Post-launch: plan and deliver the post-launch backlog; ensure all post-launch commitments are scoped, owned, scheduled and delivered (as far as possible).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Demonstrable track record of delivering website transformation projects end-to-end, including go-live and aftercare.
- Strong delivery discipline and product management: integrated planning, stage gate management, risk and change control.
- Confident leading a development team and holding it accountable for technical delivery.
- Experience running UAT at scale across multiple business areas, including defect triage and sign-off.
- Clear, decision-oriented communicator at executive leadership level.
