We're seeking a confident and detail-driven Streetworks Coordinator to join a dynamic regional team, playing a key role in delivering compliant and efficient project outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of project delivery - liaising with local authorities, supporting project teams, and ensuring full compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA).
The Role
As a Streetworks Coordinator, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end permit process, ensuring all works are planned, approved, and executed in line with legislation. You'll be the go-to expert for Streetworks compliance, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and issuing Streetworks permits via the Street Manager system through to completion
- Ensuring compliance with NRSWA regulations and avoiding potential breaches
- Coordinating with third parties for road closures, parking and bus stop suspensions
- Administering Section 50 licences and handling Section 74 charges and FPNs
- Maintaining accurate schedules and tracking commitments and deadlines
- Responding to Highway Authority feedback and modification requests
- Producing reports on planned and ongoing works
- Supporting project planning meetings and programme delivery
- Monitoring KPI performance and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong working knowledge of NRSWA and Streetworks processes
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Desirable:
- Proactive approach with the ability to meet tight deadlines
