We're looking for a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to lead the delivery of challenging projects across the Nuclear Energy sector. You'll work on everything from concept studies to detailed design, producing high-quality electrical engineering deliverables while guiding and mentoring junior engineers.
What you'll do:
- Lead electrical design packages – analysis, calculations, reports, specifications.
- Provide technical leadership and client-facing support.
- Mentor and develop less experienced engineers.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear standards, UK legislation, and safety requirements.
- Prepare and review equipment specs, technical bids, and installation scopes.
- Undertake power system studies, protection grading, earthing, and commissioning support.
What we're looking for:
- Significant nuclear sector electrical engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of design/installation practices on nuclear facilities.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Chartered/Inc. Engineer (or working towards).
- Knowledge of CE marking, ATEX, PED, LVD, Machinery Directive, EMC.
- Eligible for Security Clearance (SC).
