We are working with a well established and growing food manufacturer who are investing significantly into their engineering function at their Wakefield site. They are now looking to appoint an Asset Management Co-ordinator to play a key role in driving the effectiveness of their preventative maintenance strategy across a highly automated manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background to move into a more planning and reliability focused role.
The Role
- Planning and scheduling maintenance activities across the site
- Managing and improving the preventative maintenance programme
- Ensuring data accuracy and integrity within the CMMS system (SAP)
- Converting work requests into prioritised and structured work orders
- Monitoring KPIs such as compliance, downtime, and labour utilisation
- Ensuring materials and parts are available for planned work
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability and reduce downtime
- Managing relationships with external contractors and service providers
The core purpose of the role is to plan and measure the effectiveness of the preventative maintenance system.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a maintenance planning, asset management or engineering coordination role
- Background within FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar fast paced environment
- Strong knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance and reliability principles
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Ability to analyse data and drive improvements
- Knowledge of H&S and food safety standards (IOSH desirable)
- Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship or equivalent) is beneficial
