Morson are recruiting a Master Scheduler for an initial 2-month contract, with the potential to extend. This role is based at a manufacturing site in Salisbury and would suit experienced planning professionals with strong S&OP and supply chain knowledge, looking to play a key role in aligning production, demand, and capacity within a fast-paced operational environment.
This position will be mostly site-based, with some flexible working from home available.
About the Role- 37.5 hours per week | 4.5-day working week
- Working Hours: Monday–Thursday: 08:00–16:45, Friday: 08:00–12:30
- Location: Salisbury (primarily onsite), some WFH available (expected ~2 days per week, subject to agreement)
- Contract: Initial 2 months, strong possibility of extension
- Security Clearance: BPSS (starts on BPSS)
- Develop, manage, and optimise the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
- Align customer demand with capacity, material availability, and inventory targets
- Work cross-functionally with production, procurement, engineering, logistics, and sales
- Analyse forecasts, order backlogs, and resource availability
- Proactively identify and mitigate scheduling risks and bottlenecks
- Lead and contribute to S&OP meetings
- Provide clear visibility of schedule status, risks, and actions to stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement across planning and scheduling processes
- Support effective inventory control and minimise excess or obsolete stock
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to production planners
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures
- Proven experience in a Master Scheduler / Senior Planning role
- Strong understanding of supply chain and S&OP processes
- Good general IT skills
- Confident stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-changing manufacturing environment
- Experience using Microsoft Business Central
- Supply chain or planning qualifications
- Short-term contract with extension potential
