My client is seeking a dedicated Fabric Technician/Handyperson to maintain a building in the Ipswich area.
This role supports the Contract Manager and delivers engineering excellence through the operation, maintenance, and repair of building fabric and systems.
Responsibilities include completing Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks, operating building systems efficiently, updating electronic workflow systems, and maintaining compliant records.
The role requires issuing site permits, reviewing and signing off specialist service provider worksheets, inspecting work quality, and maintaining high housekeeping standards across plant areas, workshops, stores, and rest areas.
The role covers a broad range of technical systems including Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC systems (humidifiers, air handling, chillers), pumps, motors, variable speed drives, hot water calorifiers, fire systems, domestic water services, plumbing, decorating, and general fabric repairs.
Training will be provided for technical systems.
This is a temporary position, which could potentially go permanent for the right candidate. Pay rate is £19.14 per hour Umbrella or £14.50 per hour PAYE + holiday pay.
