We are recruiting a Facilities Manager based in Bristol. This is a role that requires a consistent on-site presence to support effective workplace management and service delivery. Travel to the Cardiff office will be required on an ad hoc basis. This role requires SC level security clearance. Candidates should be British Nationals in order to obtain this in a timely manner. The successful Candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of facilities management services, ensuring the workplace is safe, compliant, and operating effectively. Act as the main point of contact for building management, contractors, and service providers, coordinating maintenance, repairs, and service delivery Oversee or coordinate workplace services including cleaning, reception, mail, meeting rooms, and general office functionality Maintain a high standard of workplace presentation, organisation, and overall environment Act as a visible and approachable presence on site, building strong relationships with employees and responding to queries and feedback Partner with local office Operating Business leadership on office-related issues, and attend leadership/HSE meetings as required Proactively identify and resolve workplace issues before they impact users Support delivery of health, safety, environmental, and security requirements, including inductions and access control Process facilities related invoices and purchase requests accurately, supporting effective budget control Maintain site data and reporting, including utilisation and facilities records Actively manage supplier performance, ensuring services are delivered consistently and addressing issues promptly Support workplace changes, moves, and small projects at site level Provide general facilities support to the wider business as required Communicate with office staff regarding any facility-related issues or information, in line with any corporate or legal guidelines or direction. Manage the activity of the Bristol and Cardiff Facilities Support staff SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE At least 5 years experience in facilities management, workplace operations, or a similar site-based role, including responsibility for day to day service delivery Evidence of operating independently in a facilities or workplace role and managing site level responsibilities Previous experience in a corporate or multi service workplace environment is preferred Demonstrable ability to manage a site or workplace environment with a high degree of independence and ownership Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate activities effectively Proactive and hands on approach, with the ability to anticipate issues and resolve them effectively Strong focus on service delivery, workplace standards, and user experience Practical problem-solving ability, with sound judgement and attention to detail Experience of managing suppliers or contractors and holding service performance to account Comfortable using Microsoft Office and business systems for communication, reporting, and administration
